"BIG5" is the Chinese character coding set originally executed by Taiwan computer circles. It contains 420 graphic symbols and 13070 Chinese characters (excluding simplified Chinese characters). The encoding range is 0x8140--0xFE7E and 0x81A1--0xFEFE. In these ranges, 0xA140--0xA17E and 0xA1A1--0xA1FE are graphic symbol zones, 0xA440--0xF97E and 0xA4A1--0xF9FE are Chinese character zones.
