"CJK Unified Chinese Character Coding Set" - the national standard GB13000.1 is completely identical with the international standard "Universal Multi 8-Bit Coded Character Set( UCS)" ISO10646.1. The basic multilingual plane (BMP) is the most important and often-adopted part of " GB13000.1 ". In this space, nearly all of the language and symbols in all countries or regions have been defined. In the BMP, the continuous zone from 0x4E00 to 0x9FA5 contains 20902 Chinese characters from China (including Taiwan), Japan and Korea, is known as CJK characters. CJK is the superset of such character sets as "GB2312-80", "GB12345-90", and "BIG5".
